# Running a Workflow — Worker View

The Competency module applies the competency check at the **entry point of a workflow**. This means the check runs when the user starts or opens a workflow, not when a checklist is selected.

1. Open Ezyid Lite.

2. Start the desired workflow from the available workflow list or via the assigned task flow.

**Competency Check — Step 1:**

* The app checks the worker’s Competency Register.

* If no required competency exists, a prompt is shown.

* If the required competency is **expired**, the app blocks access and directs the worker to renewal material.

**Competency Check — Step 2:**

* If the worker holds the required **competency type** for the inspection, the inspection content is loaded.

* The worker is shown any applicable PDFs or images linked to that competency.

* The worker reads and acknowledges the competency material.

**Step 3 — Proceed:**

* After acknowledging the material, the worker may proceed with the inspection.

* If a quiz, acknowledgement, or signature is configured for the competency, the worker must complete it before proceeding.
