# Running a Checklist — Worker View

When a checklist is started:

1. Open **Checklists**.

2. Select the relevant checklist.

**Competency Check — Step 1:**

* The app matches the checklist’s **required competency type/code** against the worker’s Competency Register.

* If the worker does **not** hold a valid competency, they are blocked and shown the required competency details.

**Competency Check — Step 2:**

* If the worker holds a valid competency, they can proceed to complete the checklist.

* At the end of the checklist, the system records that the task was completed under a valid competency context.

**Record Keeping:**

* Completed checklist records include the worker’s active Competency ID and issue/expiry dates for audit.
