# Importing Evidence

When assigning a competency:

* Upload the evidence/PDF/certificate.

* Enter the **issue date**.

* Enter the **expiry date**.

* Enter a **reference number** if required.

* Save.

The system will automatically add this record to the visible register with the correct status (Active, Expiring Soon, Expired).
