# FAQ

## 16. Frequently Asked Questions

**Q1: What happens if a worker starts an inspection and then their competency expires mid-shift?**

A1: The worker can usually finish the already-opened inspection. However, a new inspection or checklist will be blocked until the competency is renewed. Supervisors should be notified immediately.

**Q2: Can one checklist require more than one competency?**

A2: Yes. In Ezyid Lite, multiple competency requirements can be configured for a single checklist. The worker must hold ALL required competencies before proceeding.

**Q3: Can a worker view their competency history?**

A3: Yes. Workers can view their own competencies, expiry dates, and uploaded evidence from their profile or the Register (subject to role permissions).

**Q4: What if a worker loses their certificate?**

A4: Supervisors can re-issue the competency or request a copy of evidence in the user’s Ezyid Lite profile. Keep scanned copies in the register for redundancy.

**Q5: Are competencies site-specific?**

A5: This depends on your organisation’s configuration. Some organisations assign competencies by site, region, or project. Others use globally recognised competencies across all sites. Ask your administrator how your site is configured.

**Q6: What does the competency gateway do if the required competency is “Pending Approval”?**

A6: The worker is blocked from starting the task until the evidence is reviewed and approved by the designated supervisor or safety manager.
